Tennisport Clubhouse Since Tennisport opened its doors in 1974, by Freddie Botur, it has remained New York City's finest and largest semi-private tennis facility. Its location, just minutes from Manhattan across the East River, makes it very accessible to the city's many tennis enthusiasts.

The Botur family has been involved in U.S. tennis since 1952, and in 1964 Freddie founded his first tennis club in the 34th Street Armory. In the years following, he opened West Park Racket Club, Tennis 59 Club and Cedarhurst Tennis Club. With vision and determination, he ultimately fulfilled a dream of building NY's grandest tennis club: Tennisport.

Tennisport offers a unique atmosphere enhanced by the magnificent view of the towering Manhattan skyline, yet, removed from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. The European influence of its owner is ever apparent in its family oriented environment. The membership is based on a traditional concept where all members receive individualized attention from the staff. We try our best to arrange games with members of similar ability levels. This personalized service is what has set the club apart from others and we pride ourselves on the fact that its reputation has gone unchallenged over the years.

We welcome you to stop by and take a look for yourself.
